INFORMATION

Maryland Sea Grant strongly suggests students apply online for the 2015 REU application. If you have limited electronic access, you may submit all application materials in hard copy by non-electronic mail service to the address below.

The Online Application

Please read the instructions for the online system CAREFULLY AND THOROUGHLY before you begin the application process. More detailed instructions and additional links are on the REU website under How To Apply.

Log on to the application: You may access this site as many times as you need. Please click on the left-navigation Logout button each time you are finished working in this site.

Sections: There are six (6) sections to the online application.

Submit all materials through this online application system. Please do not send your materials by email.

  1. Application form (complete online)
  2. List of current courses (complete online)
  3. Statement of interest (complete online)
  4. Recommendation requests (two) (complete online)
  5. Additional required materials
    • College transcripts (official or "released to student")
      (can be uploaded as PDF or sent in hard copy to address below)
    • Resumé (upload as PDF)
  6. Electronic or printed signature page (complete once 5 sections above are done)

Submitting Hard Copies
Letters of recommendation should be submitted through our online recommendation form. However, if ncessary, letters can be submitted by hard copy via regular mail to Dr. Michael Allen, REU Program, Maryland Sea Grant College, 4321 Hartwick Road, Suite 300, College Park, Maryland 20740. If this presents a hardship, please contact Michael Allen or Jeannette Connors at (301) 405-7500 to discuss.

NEW APPLICANTS
Welcome to the REU online application process. You must first set up an account with us for the 2015 program before you can complete your online application. Please provide a long-term email, such as a Google account, rather than your school email. After the account has been created, you can login using your email address and password.
